Admission policy

Admissions at the primary level are based only on interviews with candidates' parents/guardians and observation of the candidates by teachers. Candidates for admission to Classes IV and above sit for a written test first and on being considered fit to go into the next level, appear for an interview along with their parents/guardians. A candidate's basic skills in English and Mathematics are evaluated through the written test, as required in the class to which admission is sought.

AGE Requirement : Subject to availability of seats at SVEI admits all the students within the normal range of ability. Normal minimum ages as on 30th Aug. in the year of entry are as follows:

Class I : 5 + yrs.

Class II : 6 + yrs.

Class III : 7 + yrs.

Class IV : 8 + yrs.

Class V : 9 + yrs.

Class VI : 10 + yrs.

Class VII : 11 + yrs.

Class VIII : 12 + yrs.

APPLICATION FORMS :

Assessment for admission will be followed by an interview and will take place on a first-come-first-served basis only if there are seats available . Applications will be issued on request of the parents.

Since the number of applicants is far more than the number of seats available a waiting list system will operate and parents are strongly advised to apply for admission as early as possible.
