C.B.S.E. South Zone Swimming Meet, 2006 :
10 students participated in the CBSE South Zone Swimming Meet, 2006 organized by the DAV Public School , Velachery, Chennai in September, 2006.
Girls :
• In the Under 12 – C. Leela Sushitha and Steffi Sebastian were qualified for the Finals.
Boys :
• In the Under 16 – Y. Yeshwanth and S. Bhargav Reddy were qualified for the Finals.
CHESS :
• The following students participated in the CBSE South Zone Chess Competition at Nanganallore, Chennai in the Under 14 Category and got 7 th position out of 42 participated schools. They bagged Prizes and Certificates.

• S. Sai Lalith of Class X was adjudged as International Rated Player (2095) in the CBSE Chess Competition.
B. Yeswanth, VI has secured the following places in different tournaments :
• 1 st Place in the Jan Open Chess Tournament organized by the Chittoor District Chess Association at Tirupati on 1 st January, 2005.
• 2 nd Place in the State Chess Championship – Under 9 Category organized by the State Chess Championship Tournament, Gudur at Tirupati from 1 st to 3 rd May, 2005 and awarded a scholarship of Rs.15000/-.
• 1 st Place in the Children Chess Open Tournament, Tirupati held between 13 th and 14 th November, 2005.
• 1 st Place in the Cuddapah SBI Chess Tournament, Cuddapah in the Under 10 category, conducted from 11 th September to 14 th September, 2005.
• 1 st Place in the Chess 5 Star National Chess Players Tournament, Tirupati conducted on 25 th September, 2005.
• Secured January Chess Best Player Award in the Under 9 category organized by the Chittoor District Chess Association, Tirupati on 1.1.2006.
• Stood II Place in the State Chess Champsionship in the Under 9 category and adjudged as a International Rated Player 1708.
• Selected as a Captian for the State Level Chess Tournament in the Under 14 Cateogry organized by the State Level Chess Tournament, Tirupati on 3 rd September, 2006. |
