Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Institute, managed by SVET under the stewardship of the Chairman Dr. Mohan Babu the well known Cine-Actor, Producer and Educationalist, established SVET and Sree Vidyanikethan International School in 1993.

At the time of 1960's, Dr. M. Mohan Babu imbibed a passion for promoting education from his father Sri Narayana Swamy Naidu who was a teacher and head master in Chittoor Dist. Thus a dream long cherished and nurtured came true.

Dr. M. Mohan Babu and the trust members planned SVEI as the center of higher learning that would be open to all, regardless of Nation origin, Religious beliefs, or Social background. While the SVEI's commitments to these ideals remains unchanged. From a student body of 216, enrollment has grown to nearly 10,000 students, with one school and five colleges at one location, Tirupati. The faculty, which initially consisted of 10, as if now it totals to 350, full time members.

The faculty members are the real pillars of any institution since they share their close relationship with the students. SVEI offers its students an exceptional curriculum and dynamic learning and mentoring experience with an award winning, professionally renowned faculty.
