About Principal

Dr. M. Sreenivasa Kumar, M.Tech., Ph.D (UK)., MISTE, MIEEE., is working as Principal to this institute with effect from 17-08-2007. He has obtained his Ph.D. in the field of Machine/computer Vision from University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. He worked as Visiting Faculty at University of the West of England, Bristol, UK. He has 15 research publications at his credit in international conferences, National conferences and Journals. He has 18 years of teaching experience and worked as Professor and Principal. He is striving hard to translate the vision of the institution to reach acme in academic excellence.

Established in the year 1996 over a sprawling Campus of 30 acres, amidst an aesthetic and sylvan surrounding, the College has developed into a center of excellence in Technical Education. In the first cradle year 1996, the sanctioned intake was 180, which had risen to 726 in the academic year 2007-08, recording remarkable growth in the last 10 years. Now the College offers 8 B. Tech programs, 2 M. Tech Programs, and MCA Course.

The College strives upon enhancement of the quality of education, and introduction of courses which have got global adaptation of latest technology with fruitful academic collaboration of industry.

Our College is affiliated to Jawaharlal Technological University , and our students have been securing the University ranks regularly right from the 1 st batch itself, demonstrating the dedicated efforts of the faculty and core competencies of the Students and Management. More than 175 full-time faculty impart quality education and training to the students. The faculty is a rich blend of experienced and qualified Professors and young & energetic Assistant Professors. Most of them have proven record of admirable accomplishments with experience at IISc, IITs, Regional Engineering Colleges and Universities. The College offers first-rate ambience for the students, staff, and faculty members.

Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College aims to shape the students as individuals capable of thinking independently, creatively and objectively. M.Tech was started in 2004. We have broadened our educational process to promote the development of leadership qualities, to inculcate an international perspective and to improve communication skills. This holistic approach in teaching and learning encourages students to indulge in extra-curricular activities to shape them as Leaders of Tomorrow. Placement and Training is the strength of our College. At the end of the course, majority of the students carry home, job offers in reputed Multi-National Companies of their choice . In addition to this we organize seminars, industrial visits, paper contests, group discussions, guest lectures, career guidance etc under its auspices.
