Electronics and Control Engineering (E Con E)
The department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and Electronics and Control Engineering have been offering courses from the academic year 1997-98 and 1998-99 respectively with an annual intake of 60 each.
The department is headed by Prof. C. Subhash who has 15 years of industrial experience in telecommunication and software fields in India and U S A and 5 years of academic experience. The department is supported by 18 faculty members, out which 12 are Post-Graduates.
Technical Association of Instrumentation and CONtrols (ICON) is a students' body of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering & Electronics and Control Engineering branches under the dept. of EIE & EConE. It organizes programmes, which will improve soft skills like communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills etc. in the students so that they become more competitive in the job market.
Activities of ICON include Seminars, Quiz programmes, Paper contests, Group discussions, Guest lectures, Debates, Elocution, Essay writing, Games and Career guidance etc. Above all the department also conducts seminars, hardware exhibitions and GATE coaching classes for the students every year.
