Sree Vidyanikethan Degree College is sponsored by Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust in the year 1996 with twin objectives of imparting job oriented quality education and values under the stewardship of Padmasri Dr. M. Mohan Babu, a versatile film artiste and former member of Rajya Sabha. The college is located in 2.52 acres of land with sylvan surroundings and beautiful ambience. The institution with an initial intake of 18 students has grown to 1000 and today it is one of the most admired institutions in AP.

The college offers five undergraduate programmes and four postgraduate programmes. All the programmes are being successfully run under the able guidance of experienced teachers. Meticulous planning, shared vision, uncompromising discipline, vibrant learning environment, programmes beyond class work, hectic placement activities and realistic teaching learning methods have contributed for getting accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) which testifies the academic standards of the institution.
