Padma Shri Dr. M. Mohan Babu imbibed a passion for promoting education from his father Sri Narayana Swamy Naidu who was a teacher and head master in Chittoor Dist. Thus a dream long cherished and nurtured came true.

Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Institutions, managed by SVET under the stewardship of the Chairman Padma Shri Dr. M. Mohan Babu, the well known Cine-Actor, Producer and Educationalist, established Sree Vidyanikethan Degree College in 1996.

The college started with an initial intake of 18 students and five faculty with a noble intention of imparting quality education in fundamental sciences now is one of the sought after Degree College in AP.
