Alumni Association (SVECAA) 18-03-2008

          The Fourth Alumni Meet took place on 16th March 2008 in Dasari Auditorium, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College with much fervor and gaiety. In the morning session, students of II and III B-Tech have entertained the gathering with various cultural events like singing, mimicry, solo instrumental and magic. Sri M. Vishnu Vardhan Babu, CEO, SVET has participated as the Chief Guest. Dr. V. V. Rama Prasad, HOD IT and Convener, welcomed the gathering. Sri. Vishnu Vardhan Babu addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of Alumni Association and suggested the Alumni to be in constant touch with their alma mater. He invited the alumni to take part in transforming Sree Vidyanikethan as one of the world’s best Universities in near future. Prof. T. Gopal Rao, Special Officer, SVET, Dr. V. Sreenivasulu, Director, SVEC, Dr. M.Sreenivasa Kumar, Principal, SVEC, Dr. P. Ramana Reddy, Dean (R&D), Dr. T. Venkateswarlu, Dean (Electrical Sciences), Prof. D. Jatin Das Dean (Freshmen), Heads of all Departments, faculty members, and students were present for the meet.

Sri. V. Lokanadham Naidu, Secretary, Alumni Association presented the vote of thanks.

          About 100 alumni members have participated in the meet.

The alumni have also shared their experiences with the current students of the college. They have specifically suggested the following for the benefit and improvement of the students:

          1) Conduct seminars and interactive sessions for improving the communication skills
          2)  Industry institute interaction.
          3) Regular updating of SVEC web site.
          4) Encourage students for paper presentations.    

The Executive members have promised to take active part in the activities of Alumni Association and contribute their best efforts to enhance the enrolment among other things.
