3rd Alumni Report

The 3 rd Alumni Meet took place on 18 th March 2007 in Dasari Auditorium, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College with much fervor and gaiety. Padma shri Dr. M. Mohan Babu, Chairman, SVET has participated as the chief guest. Prof. V.V. Rama Prasad, coordinator, 3 rd Alumni Meet, Welcomed the gathering. Sri. Krishna Giri, South Asian Partner, IBM, delivered a speech highlighting the importance of Alumni Association and suggested the Alumni to be in constant touch with the alma mater. Shri. M. Vishnu Vardhan Babu was the special invitee. Prof. T. Gopal Rao, Special Officer, SVET, Dr. V. Sreenicasulu, Principal, SVEC and Dr. M. R. Kodali, Dean (Academic), SVEC were present for the meet.

Sri. M. Nagendra, President, Alumni Association, presented the Alumni report and Sri. M. Lokanandham, Secretary, Alumni Association presented the vote of thanks.

About 100 Alumni Members have participated in the meet.

The Executive Council of the Alumni Association for the period 2007-2009 was formed with the following constitution.

President: Mr. R. Nagendra, Asst. Professor (ECE), SVEC.

Vice-President: Ms.Jahnavi, Asst. Professor (EEE), SVEC.

Secretary-Cum-Treasurer: Mr. Lokanandham Naidu, Asst. Professor (IT), SVEC.

Executive Member-1: Ms. L. Padmaja, Asst. Professor (CSSE), SVEC.

Executive Member-2: Ms. B. Mounika, (M. Tech, IIT, Chennai)

Faculty Member (Ex-Officio): Ms. D. Shobha Rani, Professor (EEE), SVEC.

The Executive members have promised to take active part in the activities of Alumni Association and contribute their best efforts to enhance the enrolment among other things.
