OBJECTIVES
-
To organize campus interviews for final year students with industries and business houses of repute from all over India.

To prepare students to face campus interviews by arranging training in Aptitude tests, group discussions, preparing for Technical and HR interviews through professional trainers and SVEC alumni.

To arrange Industrial visits and In-Plant training.

To arrange final semester project for the students.

To promote career counseling by organising guidance lectures by senior corporate personnel and most importantly by the immediately placed senior students
DREAM OFFER
SVEC has introduced a Dream Offer option for the placed students from the academic year 2007-2008. All the placed students are given two additional placement opportunities.
Companies like Wipro, ADP, Infosys, Microsoft, Convergys have recruited SVEC students through the "Dream Offer" with packages of more than Rs.5 Lakhs per annum. Software companies that offer more than Rs. 4.5 lakhs per annum are offered 'Dream status'.
All the Core Companies are given 'Dream Offer' status regardless of the CTC offer which enables the students from core engineering branches to pursue the career in their own domain.
PLACEMENT CONSORTIUM
As part of its social outreach programme, SVEC has formed a Placement Consortium to help the engineering and science students of neighbouring colleges. Students from these colleges in the nearby towns of Srikalahsti, Puttur, Madanapalle, Chittoor and Nellore benefit immensely from this Consortium. Reputed companies like Wipro, Cognizant, EDS, Syntel, Siemens, Keane, iGate, i-flex, AIG Software, etc., have conducted campus interviews and recruited students through the Consortium.
More than 50 students were placed in the academic year 2007-08.
SVEC also helps Science (B.Sc/BCA) students of neighbouring colleges in finding placements.
Companies like TCS, Sasken, Wipro, Infosys and Maveric have conducted combined interviews at SVEC and recruited students.
INDUSTRY TIE-UP
Tata Consultancy Services has accredited SVEC as an C+ grade Institution. Students recruited by TCS every year are given training in-house, by a Memorandum of Understanding to this effect.
SVEC has signed an MoU with Infosys Technologies Ltd., Hyderabad, under Infosys Campus Connect Program to train non-IT students and is currently running this programme successfully. SVEC has also signed an MoU with Sharp Software Development India Pvt. Ltd., and Cosmic Circuits.

TCS CREATES RECORD AT SVEC
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) , India’s largest IT company has selected a whopping total of 123 students of SVEC after a very rigorous screening in the first slot for the 2009 June passing out batch . The interviews were conducted at SVEC from April 2 to April 4, 2008.
TCS has thus created a record by selecting the largest number of students from a single campus by any company anywhere in the AP. In May 2007, TCS had selected 122 students from SVEC and set a record at that time.
For this year 481 SVEC students had appeared for the TCS online test and 302 qualified, which is the highest percentage of pass for TCS from any campus across the A.P. Students from B.Tech. (EEE, Bio-Tech) fared equally well along with those from IT branches.
SVEC has topped the Campus Placements in the past 3 years in private sector in South India. Please see the details:
