Technical association:
The department has a student technical association named AIM (Association of Instrumentation Majors). It aims at improving soft skills and technical skills of students and making them competitive.
Activities of AIM include paper contests, seminars, quizzes, group discussions, elocution contests and debates.
Technical association AIM was inaugurated on 07-08-09 for the academic year
2009-10. The chief guest for the event is Dr. R. Senthil, Asst. Manager (Services),
Invensys India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.
Guest Lecture:
The department has conducted a guest lecture on “Role of Optimization and
MPC in Industries” by Dr. R. Senthil, Asst. Manager (Services), Invensys
India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, on 07-08-09.
Guest Lecture- The department of EIE & ECE has conducted a guest lecture
on “Multi-disciplinary and Research opportunities in Nanoelectronics” by
Prof. V. Rama Gopal Rao, IIT Bombay.
