Electronics and Control Engineering (E Con E)

The department of Electronics and Control Engineering has been offering the course from the academic year 1998-99 with an annual intake of 60.

The department is headed by Prof. T.Devaraju who has 10 years of academic experience with the specialization in Control systems, he obtained his B.E and M.E degree from Andhra university college of engineering and PSG College of Technology Coimbatore, respectively. The department is supported by 10 young and dynamic Graduates with the control system background.

ACE (Association of Control Engineers) was inaugurated on 8 th August 2007 is a students Technical Association of Electronics and Control Engineering branch students every year.

It organizes programmes, which will improve soft skills like communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills etc. in the students so that they become more competitive in the job market.

Activities of ACE include Seminars, Quiz programmes, Paper contests, Group discussions, Guest lectures, Debates, Elocution, Essay writing, Games and Career guidance etc. Above all the department also conducts seminars, hardware exhibitions and GATE coaching classes for the students every year.

This lab consists of Control system lab-I, and II for the III B.Tech E.Con.E students and also it is shared by the Department of EEE for their students in the III Year I-sem. Here the students will analyze the system performance under open loop and closed loop conditions and the response for different inputs are observed. State of the art equipment like Robot manipulator, Pneumatically operated PID controllers, pressure control system using a flapper nozzle, PLC, DC and  AC Servomotors etc.,  are available in this lab. 

Control systems-III lab is Provided for IV B.Tech (I-Sem)  E.Con.E students ,here  the simulations of  different Transfer functions  in Time domain and frequency domain is carried out  using MATLAB .
