Dr. T. DEVARAJU
Professor & HOD

Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is a profession that uses science, technology and problem solving skills to design, construct and maintain products. It is a challenging but exciting and rewarding area to study.

The department of EEE was established in 1996 with the aim of importing high quality technical education in the area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The branch is accredited for five years by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) with effect from March 16, 2007, which testifies the core competencies of the management and the faculty.

Prof. P.  Ramana Reddy
Professor & Dean
(PG Courses & R&D)

The department started M.Tech. (Electrical Power Systems) from the academic year 2004-05 with an intake of 18 and is affiliated to J N T University, Anantapur. Separate laboratories are provided for M.Tech. programme. 4 batches of students have been graduated so far.

The department is headed by Dr. T. Devaraju. The department is also supported by Dr. P. Ramana Reddy, Professor & Dean who has over Thirty Six Years of teaching experience. The department has a strong pool of faculty with 2 Ph.D.’s 15 M.Tech.’s and 2 B.Tech.’s. It boasts of having highly qualified faculty with an unparalleled level of expertise in their field. The pure expertise and dedication of the faculty members along with infrastructural facilities coupled with perseverance of the students have catapulted the branch to the top league. Break up of teaching staff is 4 Professors, 2 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor (SL) and 11 Assistant Professors. The department serves the needs of co-departments like ECE, EIE, EConE, CSE, IT, CSSE and Biotech.

The department has a student forum ETA (Electrical Technical Association) for conducting career developing interpersonal and intrapersonal skills of students. It organizes Seminars, Quiz Programmes, Industrial Visits, Paper Contests, Group Discussions, Guest Lectures, Career Guidance, and Games etc under its auspices. ETA also organizes Technical Exhibitions for benefit of local public. Students are encouraged to present papers and participate in seminars conducted by other engineering colleges. Industrial tours are arranged for students to understand the practical implementation of theoretical concepts.
