Endowed with sylvan surroundings, modern infrastructure and ambient learning environment, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College (SVEC) is forging ahead to achieve academic excellence.
The College, established in 1996 by Padmashri Dr. M. Mohan Babu has grown in its size and stature over the years, from an initial intake of 180 to 1374 students. SVEC is one of the largest Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh and the first of its kind in Rayalaseema. It offers 10 UG and 8 PG programmes with faculty strength of over 274. With consistent and excellent academic performance of students in the University examinations, the College has endeared itself to many students and parents. |
MILESTONES : The College has achieved many benchmarks. The College is approved by AICTE and affiliated to JNTU Anantapur. The College is known for its quality initiatives which are reflected in accreditations by NBA and many multinational organizations such as TCS and IBM. SVEC is selected for participation in
TEQIP-II under Sub-component 1.1: Strengthening Institutions to improve Learning Outcomes and Employability of Graduates, funded by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. The College is accorded Autonomous Status by the UGC, New Delhi from the Academic Year 2010-2011 and is all set to seek Deemed University Status in near future. Many eminent academicians and dignitaries who visited the College have acclaimed the quality of education imparted in the College and appreciated its achievements since its inception. The College has got permission from AICTE to start B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) course and two M.Tech programs (one in Communication Systems and the other in Computer Networks and Information Security) from 2011-2012. |

PLACEMENTS : Vibrant Training and Placement activities are the mainstay of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College (SVEC), besides academics and students’ progression. Placement and Training Programs like Campus Connect in collaboration with Infosys, IBM, WIPRO, SHARP Technologies and VISU Consultancy have helped in bridging the gap between Industry and academia and in providing training in technical and soft skills, which has enhanced the employability of the students. In view of this, despite global meltdown, the College is able to get placements for its students through sustained efforts. |
