The 7th Alumni Meet of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, held on 19th March, 2011 in Dasari Auditorium was attended by 150 Alumni. Sri M. Vishnuvardhan Babu, Chief Executive Officer, Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, who is an alumnus of the College, was the Chief Guest. In his inaugural address, he appealed to the alumni to contribute constructive suggestions for the qualitative growth of the Institution and share their experience and expertise in updating the syllabus since the College has attained Autonomous Status from the Academic Year 2010-11. He informed the participants that the Syllabus would be framed by the Industry and for the Industry so that it is relevant in the contemporary context.

The Alumni who are well placed recalled their experiences and suggested that there is a compelling need to strengthen R & D in the College since the technology is changing rapidly. The Chief Guest who is tech-savvy assured the alumni that he would interact with the experts in Engineering and Technology while restructuring the research facilities in the College.
